WORKS MANAGER
Salary Grade 9 - £12,875 - £16,480 plus benefits (subject to local tax)
Ascension Island Works & Services Agency was formed in April 2001 to be responsible for the development and maintenance of the government owned estate and infrastructure, and for the provision of public services.

The Job
· To plan and manage the day to day activities of a Works Department comprising of approximately 50 technical and support staff, increasing to 60 during period of special projects.
· Project management of capital development work, maintenance work and the delivery of Public Services.
· Ensuring that all programmed project work is completed on time, and within allocated budget, by the effective deployment of labour, material and plant resources.
· To be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and the ISO 9002 quality system.
The Person
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND standard in a related estate or facilities management profession.
- Proven experience of managing a building and services contracting organization either in the public or private sector.
- Experience of design, planning, target setting, expenditure control, and performance management.
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Must hold a current driving licence.
